About About Dr. David Mitchell
I’m a Conscious Cultivation Coach serving those who are open to developing and using their own capacity to grow and change for the better. I am particularly interested in supporting BIPOC communities, individuals who are currently in or have been in institutions of higher education, and individuals who have non-traditional (e.g., spiritual but not religious, etc.) views and practices.
I hold a PhD in developmental psychology as well as an MS in psychology from Howard University. I also received my B.A. in human development from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). I have honed my coaching skills in part by teaching at and learning from institutions like California Institute of Integral Studies, or CIIS (where I currently work), Howard University, and University of West Georgia, each of which values holistic, out-of-the-box thinking and/or serving marginalized populations. Ultimately, following our HWL 4 R’s of transformation model, my work is about providing space for you to remember who you are and where you can potentially go. I look forward to working with you!
